I am a wedding filmmaker, not a videographer. My goal is not to document the wedding day. Instead, I strive to tell the story of the bride and groom on the happiest day of their lives, which is far more meaningful. I want to give the viewer insight into the couple's personalities. I want their children and grandchildren to discover what the couple was like when they got married. As the owner and principle cinematographer of Sterling Cinematics, I take great pride in my wedding films. Hopefully you can see this pride and high quality in my samples here on my website. My goal is to make each wedding film I produce better than my previous one.
My (Not So) Ancient History:
I have a video production background, working at various television stations around the country, starting back in the 1980's. I covered everything from camera work, to audio engineer, to director. I have always felt that this range of experience has given me a great advantage since I have so many different video skills. On the side, I had the opportunity to shoot weddings for friends. Over the years, I found that I got much more enjoyment from capturing these wedding moments than my "day job". In 2007, I quit my TV job to concentrate on weddings full time.
